DURING the week, both Jo Christiaans and Jeff Horn are busy with their day jobs - working as teachers, educating the minds of young ones at Pallara State School.
But outside the classroom, their lives are very different.
Miss Christiaans may look familiar to many because she is a successful actress who has played parts in various television commercials, shows and movies.
One of her biggest roles included playing the character Selena McMillen in the 2011 science fiction drama television series Terra Nova.
"I have always loved acting," Miss Christiaans said.
"Being in front of the camera is always fun and it is something I would really like to continue with."
For Mr Horn, his passion outside the primary school classroom is sport.
Professional boxing, to be specific.
Mr Horn is a talented boxer who has progressed quickly through the ranks.
Despite only taking up the sport recently, he already holds the current Australian Title Belt.
"I started taking on the big opponents right away," Mr Horn explained.
"During my match for the Australian Title Belt, I went in as the underdog, so I think my opponent got a big surprise when I beat him.
"I was also awarded the knockout of the year, which I got in 78 seconds."
Although both are "known" outside the teaching world, it is their true passion for education which brings them back to Pallara State School every year.
"When I was growing up, I loved school and had wonderful teachers who were great role models," Miss Christiaans said.
"We both love working as teachers.
"The kids know we are successful in our other careers, which I think sends a positive message to them.
"The message is they should never give up on their dreams because they never know where it can lead them."
