Noosa North Shore is being abused to death

AGAIN tonnes of rubbish was removed from Noosa North Shore and the volunteers who did so should be congratulated for their thankless hard work.

Some people say North Shore is being loved to death but I feel it is being abused to death.

Bins are provided at Teewah and at the ferry at Tewantin and it only takes a little effort to bag rubbish and take a short run to the large bins.

I'm going to say the majority of campers are trashing this pristine area. There seems to be a sense of entitlement to their actions and believe me they couldn't give a damn, leaving the minority of good campers and volunteers to clean up the site after them.

A full-time ranger is not the answer as I'm sure these drunken pests would cause him harm if he dared question them.

Numbers need to be limited, camping sites to also be numbered and chosen by campers, a refundable deposit required and after an inspection of the site that refund deposited back to the camper.

This inspection would be by a ranger after the campers leave. Maybe this idea is not workable but something has to be done to stop this wanton trashing of this beautiful area.
