Mynydd Kynghordy meaning' Mountain meeting-house' in Welsh (in Toowoomba) is a Proposed Canton within the Kingdom of Lochac (Brisbane).
The Kingdom is a regional branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA),an international non-profit educational organisation that is dedicated to the research and recreation of pre-17th century European History. With a particular focus on its practical applications in arts and sciences, including costuming, cooking, martial arts, dance, calligraphy and illumination, metalwork, archery and music (to name but a few!). This group Meets Thursdays for A & S and Fighter practice in Toowoomba area. The group travels to other cantons and baronies to play and learn. Thursday night activities include Period jewellery making, Period garb ( clothes ) Shield making, Dancing, Heraldry, Medieval cooking, Chain-mail making Etc We have fighter training: Rapier (fencing) and training in Heavy Combat as well as Archery We are also looking for Experienced people with knowledge of medieval Arts and Crafts to help teach members and interested persons. So if you have an interest in the Medieval, Renaissance or Tudor periods please come along as we are always looking for new members of all ages and healthy men and woman to fill the ranks for battle If you are interested please come along to one of our meetings
