ELVIS has left the building, but not of his own accord.

Dedicated Elvis performer and collector, Rusty Roberts, had a valuable Elvis cut-out stolen while he was performing at the Cabarita Surf Club last month.

“I was performing in the Elvis Collector show and the cut-out went missing between 11pm and 11.30pm,” Mr Roberts said.

“My 15-year-old son, Elvis, saw women taking the cut-out. When my son told her not to, one of the women said ‘He's sick and we are taking him to the doctor'.

“My son came into my dressing room after I had finished my last song and he told me what had happened. I ran out to the parking lot, stopped the bus and some cars but I could not find the women or the cut-out.”

Mr Roberts said there were two ladies working together to steal the item.

“One of the women blocked my son while the other took off with the cut-out,” Mr Roberts said.

“I had over 15 cut-outs of Elvis there on the night and she stole the most expensive one.”

Mr Roberts has video footage from the venue which shows a blonde women leaving with the Elvis cut-out.

“I have been doing this a long time and nothing like this has happened.

“The cut-out is priced at ten thousand American dollars,” Mr Roberts said.

“That was my pride and joy.”

Mr Roberts would like residents to contact him through his website – theelviscollector.com – if they have any information about whereabouts of the cut-out.
