Marco Rose had a brush with Junior Masterchef.
WHEN most of Australia sits down to watch Junior Masterchef this Sunday, Camira's Marco Rose will be remembering his own experience in the famous kitchen.
The nine-year-old was all set to feature in the Channel 10 program's final 50, but had to pull out due to concerns about his nut allergy.
But that didn't stop the program from offering Marco the chance to go to the Sydney Masterchef studios and meet judges George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan.
Mr Mehigan even told Marco that he shouldn't let his food allergy stop him from following his dreams, saying that he once met a pastry chef who was allergic to flour.
Marco, who started making cakes when he was four, said his favourite dish to plate up was Cannelloni and his favourite celebrity chef was Jamie Oliver.
“I just enjoy doing it,” he said about cooking.
Getting his talent from his father, the year four St Francis of Xavier student has already been offered an internship when he turns 16 years old with his cousin in Italy.
Junior Masterchef will start on Channel 10 this Sunday, September 12.
