TROY Cassar-Daley has a lot of history with the Optus Nation Music Muster and that history keeps bringing him back.

He first played at Muster in 1992, met his now-wife at the 1993 Muster and proposed to her backstage one year while she ironed his shirt.

But things have definitely changed in Amamoor State Forest since 1992.

"The thing that really has changed for me is that it has swelled to enormous amounts of people. There wasn't as many people coming when I was first arriving here," Cassar-Daley said.

Fresh back from a US tour with Tommy Emmanuel, Troy rocked the Main Stage at the Muster on Saturday afternoon before backing it up with a gig at the Club, giving fans a double dose of his "country as horse poo" musical magic.

In contrast with the US tour, Troy is now gearing up for a tour through New South Wales with Adam Harvey.

The show contains no fillers, it's just the big country hits.

"The frivolity that goes on in those shows is something that you have to go along and have a look at because they're a lot of fun and you get nothing but just pure quality country music and we get a big thrill out of being able to sing it," Cassar-Daley said.
