THE “biggest garage sale in Corinda” is on again.
The annual sale, which helps give boys with physical disabilities a social life, will be held this Saturday, July 31 at the Montrose Access Corinda site from 7am.
Like any normal garage sale, it will be packed full of household goods, furniture, ornaments, clothing and bric-a-brac. But this garage sale will also raise money for Montrose Access' Boys Group which provides after-school activities for boys with physical disabilities.
This plight is close to garage sale convenor Annette Forrest's heart as her son Chris used to be part of the boy's group before moving up to a different program.
She said all of the garage sale items were donated by Montrose Access clients and families, and there would also be a Tupperware display (including a “lid replacement service”) and a plant sale.
Last year the annual garage sale raised about $1500 and Mrs Forrest hopes to better that.
“Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find. Bargain hunters will not be disappointed,” she said.
There will also be a sausage sizzle and tea and coffee for sale.
Montrose Access is located on 54 Consort Street, Corinda. The sale will run until about 1pm.
