THE Taylor Bridge Rugby Club Dinner Dance is on again, this year being held at the Sherwood Services Club on Saturday, July 17. This year marks the 20th year of the event, which helps raise money for the Graceville-based rugby union club. For $50 per person, guests are treated to a full buffet meal, complimentary drink on arrival and a bottle of red and white per table. Baseball draw released
REIGNING Queensland Major Baseball League A-grade champions, Western Districts will begin its title defence against Windsor in a replay of last season's grand final. The season opener will be played on Sunday, September 26 at Atthows Park, Darra. Queensland Baseball has again opted to use a similar season structure from last season, in which all 15 teams will play each other once and at the end of the season, the competition will be split in two league – the best eight sides to compete for the Major League title and the remaining teams to fight it out for the Pacific League title.
Goodna to host club day
GOODNA Rugby Union club is hosting a community and family event on Saturday, July 17 at Evan Marginson Sports Ground, Goodna. The public are invited to attend the sports club days, which will feature food stalls, novelty game like tug of war, four raffles and a recognition presentation of certificates to the club's sponsors and community officials. The day will also showcase the club's best rugby talent, with junior games kicking off at 10am and the club's two senior teams playing from 1.30pm.
