Mega garage sale an Easter gift

THE fast-approaching arrival of Easter doesn’t just mean Easter eggs and school holidays, it also means the garage giveaway.

Better than the Easter bunny, the Springfield Christian Family annual garage giveaway will be held on March 27 this year, and once again will become an important date on the Easter calendar for those families who need a little helping hand.

Now in its seventh year, the garage giveaway will have second-hand furniture, white goods, clothing, linen, bric-a brac, books, DVDS, computer bits, garden gear, kitchen ware, baby wear and sporting gear all on offer for free.

The event will run from 8.30am to noon, and much like a boxing day sale, in previous years many people have lined up at the gates of the Camira/Springfield Community Centre hours before they open.

Springfield Christian Family hold the garage giveaway to spread the giving spirit to the community and there will be more than 100 volunteers helping out on the day.
