DUE to the wet weather, the Springfield Hope4Haiti benefit concert on Saturday was switched to Orion Springfield’s underground car park.
The change of location was a blessing in disguise as the concrete shelter bestowed a unique but pulsating acoustic sound from the bands.
And while the numbers from Saturday’s event were down on what was expected, that didn’t stop the hundreds of people who attended. They were mostly teenagers, appreciating the live music, while donating plenty of money to help the victims from the earthquake that hit Haiti in January.
