UTE Haywood counts herself a lucky woman.
So news that she had taken out the Ipswich Rewards Card monthly prize did not come entirely as a surprise.
“My husband got a call and he called me at work to let me know,” Mrs Haywood said.
“I was in a meeting, but he interrupted and said 'I just had to let you know'.
“I think he was more excited than I was.”
The Newtown resident picked up $1000 to spend at any participating Rewards Card business in the Ipswich region.
Her teenage children also have a few plans for the cash.
“My husband wants computer stuff and the kids want electronic stuff like a Wii,” Mrs Haywood said.
The mother of two picked up the prize at Riverlink outlet ED's PC's and plans to reward herself with a massage or beauty products.
ED's PC's owner Abraham Khalil said it was the first Rewards Card winner he'd had in store.
“I find a lot of people know about the program,” he said.
“It is something we want to continue to be involved in.”
