COMMUTERS will now be able to park their car and utilise public transport with the opening of the $3.25 million park n' ride facility at Jindalee.

The 69-bay carpark, located on the corner of Sinnamon Rd, Burrendah Rd and Kooringal Dr, is the latest park n' ride project in TransLink's roll out of public transport facilities across Brisbane.

Member for Mt Ommaney Tarnya Smith said the benefit of the service outweighed the costs to deliver the project.

"Now that we have the park n' ride at Jindalee I hope it will encourage commuters, particularly those heading to the Brisbane CBD, to park their car and transfer to a nearby bus to complete their journey," she said.

"There is now easier access and more incentive for commuters to get back on public transport at Jindalee."

Routes servicing the park n' ride include 450 (Riverhills/Mt Ommaney to City), 453 (Mt Ommaney to City), P456 (Mt Ommaney to City), P457 (Riverhills to City) and P458 (Mt Ommaney to City).
