Three sponsors ditch The Circle
THREE sponsors have pulled their support from the Channel Ten program The Circle after it broadcast controversial comments last week mocking Australian war hero Ben Roberts-Smith as brainless and "a dud root".
Swisse Vitamins and coffee chain Jamaica Blue said they had been inundated with comments from outraged viewers since The Circle co-hosts Yumi Stynes and George Negus last week made disrespectful comments about the Victoria Cross recipient.
In response, the companies have now ended their associations with the program.
"Thank you to each and everyone who contacted Swisse," Swisse Vitamins tweeted.
"We have spoken with Network Ten and have ended our association with The Circle."
