THE time to celebrate has arrived.
THE time to celebrate has arrived.
More than a year after floodwaters destroyed the Goodna RSL, its doors will finally reopen tomorrow (July 5) to reveal a state-of-the-art entertainment facility.
Goodna RSL assistant manager Megan Bell said club patrons were in for a surprise.
While the surprise is being kept a closely-guarded secret, Ms Bell did give The Satellite a hint.
"All I can say is customers will experience a sky-feeling," she smiled.
Along with an "amazing" gaming room and TAB facilities, Ms Bell said patrons could also expect a Legends Sports Bar.
"The reopening is very exciting," she said.
"While it was really sad how the floodwaters hit the club and community, we are very excited to reveal a new club which has provided new jobs for the area.
"We also look forward to giving back to the community like we used to."
Ms Bell said tomorrow's reopening celebrations would include massive giveaways and the beginning of a $10,000 promotion which would run until July 15.
"The celebrations will continue right through to the weekend," she said.
The club is also preparing for its first ticketed event with Mark 'Chopper' Read and Mark 'Hammer' Dickson visiting as part of their final Australian tour.
The show will be held at the Goodna RSL's function room on July 19.
