TALENTED South Sydney half-back Adam Reynolds is in the box seat to make his debut for the NRL All Stars against the Indigenous All Stars at Suncorp Stadium on February 9.

Reynolds received the seventh-highest number of votes from fans in stage one of voting, the most of any half-back.

Brilliant Melbourne Storm No.7 Cooper Cronk was also in top 10 (at position 10), but with teammate Billy Slater coming in at number five, and only one player from each team able to get a start, Cronk, the Australian half-back, faces the prospect of missing out.

Almost 16,000 votes were registered, with Eels utility Jarryd Hayne the fan's favourite with 9491 votes, 208 ahead of Knights winger Akuila Uate.

Hayne said he was "really honoured" to be part of the All Stars concept, adding: "It's nice to be thought of by the fans who voted for me".

Others in the top 10 were: Brett Morris (Dragons), James Tamou (Cowboys), Fuifui Moimoi (Eels), Josh Morris (Bulldogs) and Paul Gallen (Sharks).

The next stage of voting, to open on December 10, will see NRL All Stars coach Wayne Bennett place the top 64 players (four from each club), in possible positions.

The public will then be able to vote for just one player from each team, those 16 to join Cameron Smith and Benji Marshall in the final team - Bennett and the NRL All Stars coaching staff will also have two wildcard selections.

Voting for the Indigenous All Stars team will also open on December 10, with both teams announced on January 16.
