WITH their current tai-chi classes proving to be enormously popular, Goodna Community House is looking to start up a new beginner's class and is calling on the community to register their interest.

Tai-chi teacher, Roslyn Newsham, said because the community centre had experienced a high level of interest in the classes, they would be splitting the group into advanced and beginner classes.

When asked about the benefits of tai-chi, Mrs Newsham said some of the main drawcards were the fact it was low impact and easy to pick up.

“It helps with stress and helps you to relax,” she said.

“It's low impact, and you'll just need to bring comfy footwear and clothing and water.”

Mrs Newsham said tai-chi also helped to improve posture, stability and stronger muscles.
