About the Paper

The Satellite is published every Wednesday, with the exception of the Christmas New Year period. This widely read community news publication currently enjoys a massive readership of 37,000 people.

The Satellite is part of APN Australian Publishing, a division of APN News & Media. APN Australian Publishing publishes daily and community newspapers along Australia’s eastern coastline, from Mackay to Coffs Harbour and inland to the cities of Emerald, Biloela, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Warwick, Lismore, Grafton and Chinchilla.

History

The Satellite was established in October 1978. For over thirty years The Satellite has provided a weekly voice to the centenary suburbs of western Brisbane and eastern Ipswich, including the communities of Jindalee, Mt Ommaney, Forest Lake, Inala Goodna, Redbank Plains and Springfield.
